CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Philippines — Up to 106 families lost their homes in a fire that struck a residential area in this city at dawn yesterday.

No one was reported killed or injured in the blaze, which occurred in Sitio Sta. Cruz 2, Barangay Lapasan at around 2 a.m.

Firefighters had difficulty reaching the area due to narrow roads, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection.

The victims are taking shelter in the barangay covered court.
