160 families evacuated in Surigao del Sur town ahead of Basyang

BAYABAS, Surigao del Sur –  A total of 160 families, or 430 individuals, from flood-prone villages here were preemptively evacuated on Thursday, according to the town’s Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO).  The affected barangays included Balete, Cabugo, and La Paz, with all evacuees currently staying inside designated evacuation centers.  Bayabas Mayor Apolonio Lozada
