CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Two senior high school students died in a vehicular accident involving a car and a trailer truck in Lucena City, Quezon on Sunday.
The fatalities, identified only as Rayver, 18, and Raph, 17, died at the scene of the accident that occurred in Barangay Bocohan, probers said.
Investigation showed that a Mitsubishi Lancer driven by Rayver with Raph on board was tailing an Isuzu truck along the diversion road at around 3:30 a.m.
The truck was reportedly turning left when it was rearended by the car.
The impact resulted in the death of the victims and caused damage to both vehicles.
Responding police officers arrested the truck driver.
Meanwhile, in Ilocos Norte, a 30-year-old man died when his motorcycle collided with a sport utility vehicle (SUV) in Sarrat on Sunday night.
The victim, whose identity was not immediately known, was declared dead on arrival in a hospital.
Investigation showed the victim was traveling along Josefa Llanes Escoda Highway in Barangay 21 Parang when his motorcycle crashed into the SUV.
Police arrested the SUV driver.
