Police inspect a tricycle where two people were killed following an attack in General Santos City on Monday.

COTABATO CITY, Philippines — A nurse and a tricycle driver were killed in an attack by unidentified assailants in General Santos City on Monday afternoon.
Tricycle driver Iven Conde and his passenger, Nhiezer Rolliene Jane Aguacito, were traveling in Barangay City Heights when the assailants opened fire, killing them instantly, according to Col. Nicomedes Olaivar Jr., chief of the General Santos City police.
Investigation showed Conde was out on bail for rape, acts of lasciviousness, homicide and drug trafficking.
Police have yet to determine the motive for the killing.
