BATANGAS CITY , Philippines — Two minors were killed while 11 others were injured in a vehicular accident involving a wing van truck and a passenger jeepney in this city on Wednesday.
The fatalities were declared dead on arrival at the Batangas Medical Center. They and the injured victims were among passengers of the jeepney that was traveling in Barangay Concepcion at past noon.
Reports said the truck developed engine trouble, causing the driver to lose control of the wheel and to hit the jeepney.
Responding police officers arrested the truck driver.
