More than 200 mothers received free medical and pamper services, gifts, and more at GMA Kapuso Foundation's Mother's Day health and wellness event on Saturday, May 17.
According to "24 Oras" Monday, among those who attended the event was Belma Bangcaya, a single mother to sons Aaron and Anton. Although she only earns P500 a day, Belma has also opened her doors to fellow mother, Vivian, whose home was demolished.
Received free pamper services like haircuts, eyebrow shaving, manicure, and pedicure. They were also entertained by Kapuso volunteer artists.
Lalo na there are some homes na single moms, so talagang gusto natin silang tulungan para mataguyod din 'yung kanilang health and wellness," said Rikki Escudero-Catibog, executive vice president and COO of GMA Kapuso Foundation.
Sabi ko, wala ka naming pupuntahan, dun ka na lang sa Bahay. Sabi nga ng Diyos, mahalin mo ang kapwa mo," Belma said of Vivian.
During GMA Kapuso Foundation's "Hataw Kapuso Moms Para Forever Healthy" event in Ever Commonwealth in Quezon City, over 200 mothers received free bone density tests, pap smears, and breast examinations.
They also had a fun Zumba session led by the Philippine National Police's dance and fitness team.
Afterward, the moms received free pamper services like haircuts, eyebrow shaving, manicures, and pedicures. They were also entertained by Kapuso volunteer artists.

At the end of the event, a number of mothers received recognition from the foundation. Belma was hailed Most Inspiring Mom for her compassionate heart and received a certificate and sash.
Merly Realisan was awarded Best in Fitness Attire for her eye-catching sparkly red dress, while Adelina Malanday won Best in Hataw for her dance moves.
Some of the mothers also won appliances and took home gifts and food.
