A NEW board of trustees will lead the Global Tourism Business Association (GTBA) in supporting the Philippine travel and tourism sector.
GTBA's 2025 board, led by President Michelle Taylan, took their oath on Feb. 10 at the Department of Tourism (DOT), with Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco officiating.
The board pledged to continue initiatives that uplift the industry and connect stakeholders with the traveling public.
"We are grateful for a dynamic board working tirelessly to support tourism," said Taylan, extending appreciation to Frasco and various government and international partners.
The GTBA reaffirms its commitment to actively participate in DOT programs.

"Together, we must showcase the country's natural assets, cultural heritage, and untapped destinations globally," she said.
GTBA will hold its B2B Global Travel Exchange and Roadshow in Kuala Lumpur on Feb. 19-23, gathering over 200 delegates for business and networking.
During the oath-taking, GTBA awarded Frasco the "World Tourism Icon of the Year" for her efforts in promoting Philippine tourism.
GTBA will also host the third Travel Sale Expo on Sept. 26-28 at SM Megamall, featuring 200 exhibitors with exclusive travel deals and discounts.
