MANILA, Philippines — Dubbed the country’s Inspirational Diva, Jamie Rivera continues to inspire and impart a message of hope through music.
The artist behind the 2000 Jubilee Song (The Great Jubilee), composed by Fr. Carlo Magno Marcelo, returns with another Christian song, Ningas ng Pag-asa, in time for the Year of Jubilee, which is celebrated by the Catholic Church every 25 years.
The uplifting track about hope is based on the official 2025 Jubilee theme, “Pilgrims of Hope.” Jamie translated the song into Filipino, and it was launched under ABS-CBN’s Inspire Music label. The song also features the group 92AD.
Jamie and 92AD also teamed up for Welcome! Mabuhay! O Pilgrims of Hope, another song composed by Fr. Marcelo, which serves as the entrance song for the Jubilee celebration in the Philippines this year.

“This is a message of hope. It’s the flame of hope,” Jamie said at a press conference, describing Ningas ng Pag-asa. “Hope is like a flame — you have to fan it. That’s our message: We are the ones fanning the flame so that it keeps burning.
“We have to disseminate it or tell people that there is hope, so it becomes a flame. That’s our responsibility as Christians, as Catholics, as followers of Christ — to send the message. It is a mission to tell the whole world that there is God and that He will never leave or forsake us. There is always hope.
“The song is really a message of hope for everyone. Despite everything happening in the world, we should not lose hope. Let’s trust God, and that’s the message we want to share with everyone,” 92AD added.

Jamie is grateful that, 25 years after the release of Jubilee Song, the Catholic Church still entrusts her with this role. “Their faith is not fading. And I’m also blessed that 92AD is still here to help and join me. Imagine, since the year 2000, we were already the ones who sang Jubilee Song. I’m grateful that we were granted the opportunity to write and perform the official song and that 92AD is still willing to sing with us,” she shared.
The OPM icon added that Jubilee Song continues to inspire her to this day.
“It’s a song of mercy and forgiveness. As you grow older, you face problems and trials. There are also people who hurt you. But whenever I listen to Jubilee Song, I return to its message,” Jamie said.
