BINMALEY, Pangasinan, Philippines — Three people died in separate vehicular accidents in this province on Monday.
Among the fatalities were a tricycle driver and his passenger whose vehicle collided with a modern jeepney in Barangay Naguilayan in this town.
Probers said the tricycle tried to overtake as the two vehicles were approaching a bridge.
No one among the driver and passengers of the jeepney was harmed.
Meanwhile, a farmer died while two others were injured in a collision involving a tricycle and a motorcycle in the nearby town of Rosales.
Investigation showed that the vehicles were traveling in Barangay Tomana West when the tricycle suddenly turned left, causing it to collide with the motorcycle.
The victims were brought to a hospital where the tricycle driver was declared dead on arrival, police said.
