MANILA, Philippines — Three Filipino workers were injured in a drone strike at Kuwait International Airport, according to Kuwaiti state media.

The attack, which occurred on June 3, killed one Indian national and wounded 63 individuals, according to Kuwaiti state media.

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) said that two of the injured OFWs were treated for smoke inhalation, while a third required stitches for hand and head wounds.

DMW Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac stated that the agency is actively monitoring the situation.

The DMW has also advised all OFWs in the country to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary travel.

Kuwait International Airport was hit by drones and missiles on June 3, causing severe damage to several airport facilities and forcing the suspension of airport operations.

The attack also damaged diplomatic missions, although he state media did not identify which ones.

The Kuwaiti government blamed Iran for the attack. The incident followed U.S. military strikes on Qeshm Island.

In response to the U.S. attack, Iran launched attacks on Kuwait and Bahrain.

However, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard denies targeting Kuwait International Airport, saying that the damage to a passenger terminal was caused by a malfunctioning US-made Patriot missile system.
