MANILA, Philippines — Four areas in the country are expected to experience heat indeces of 40 degrees Celsius and above, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.
PAGASA said the town of San Jose in Occidental Mindoro and Dagupan City in Pangasinan might feel the “extreme caution” heat index of 40 degrees Celsius.
La Granja in La Carlota, Negros Occidental as well as Zamboanga and Cotabato cities will also experience a similar heat index.
In this heat index, people may experience heat cramps and heat exhaustion and continuous activity may lead to heat stroke.
