Thousands of passengers bound for their respective provinces flock at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) in Parañaque City on December 20, 2025
STAR / Noel Pabalate
MANILA, Philippines — Half of all Bicol-bound trips from the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) are fully booked from Dec. 21 to 23, the last working day before Christmas.
Data provided by PITX management yesterday showed that over 48 percent of trips going to Bicol are already at full capacity.
It also showed that 42 percent of trips to provinces in the Visayas and Mindanao on Dec. 21 and 22 are fully booked.
For trips to the rest of Luzon, including Mindoro, the fully booked rate remains at zero percent, which means travelers can still secure tickets even at the last minute.
PITX is expecting three million passengers to flock to the landport between Dec. 19 and Jan. 5.
Foot traffic on Friday reached 186,231. As of 5 p.m. yesterday, 144,028 passengers have already passed through PITX.
