MANILA, Philippines — Around 617 Filipinos have been repatriated as the Middle East conflict continues, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
As of yesterday, 189 Filipinos were repatriated from Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, followed by 144 from Doha, Qatar, 115 from Amman, Jordan and 77 from Abu Dhabi.
Forty-five Filipinos returned home from Tel Aviv, Israel, followed by 23 from Tehran, Iran, 20 from Baghdad, Iraq and four from Manama, Bahrain.
President Marcos said more flights would be arranged by the government.
Filipinos in Iraq should refrain from posting photos or videos of attacks as they could face legal consequences, the Philippine embassy in Iraq and Department of Migrant Workers said. - Helen Flores
