BAGUIO CITY — A total of 80 jobseekers including a person with disability (PWD) were hired on-the-spot for various positions during the 2025 La-bor Day Job Fair at the Baguio Convention and Cultural Center and SM City Baguio.

The job fair was spearheaded by the Department of Labor and Employment-Cordillera Administrative Region (DOLE-CAR) in partnership with the city government through its Public Employment Services Office (PESO).

A total of 2,189 job vacancies from 49 local employers were made available during the whole-day activity, according to a DOLE-CAR report on job fair key indicators.

Of the 1,035 jobseekers who registered for the activity at the two venues, 690 were assessed to be "qualified."

The report disclosed that 126 of the qualified jobseekers were "near hired" and 16 availed of the entrepreneurship opportunity at the Job Fair, while 366 availed of the activity's One-Stop-Shop, and 128 availed of pre-employment medical services.
