MANILA, Philippines — Nine fishermen whose vessel capsized in the waters off Western Visayas were rescued by members of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) yesterday.
After receiving a distress call, the BRP Kalanggaman proceeded to the site of the sea accident located near Nogas Island in Anini-y town in Antique.
The fishermen were transported to the PCG-Station Iloilo where they were given medical attention. All were found to be in good physical condiition.
The owner of the vessel assisted the fishermen to ensure proper documentation and provision of support.
