Lebron James is entering the Barbie World!
On Instagram, Barbie unveiled the Lebron James doll which features the NBA Superstar in a blue and white varsity jacket, a “We Are Family” shirt, plaid pants, Nike sneakers, and accessories including a cap, headphones, sunglasses, a bag, and a watch.
According to Barbie, James was chosen as the brand's first "Kenbassador" due to his "positive impact on culture, style and community" for the last two decades.
On their website, Mattel, the company behind Barbie, described James as a “true leader, an activist, philanthropist and champion for others both on and off the court.”
“A changemaker and tastemaker, this LeBron James Ken doll embodies his signature elevated streetwear style while proudly representing the LeBron James Family Foundation, his nonprofit dedicated to empowering inner-city youth with the tools they need to succeed in life,” it said.
In a separate Instagram post, the Los Angeles Lakers star shared photos of himself with his doll and said it was an honor to be part of the Barbie and Mattel family.
“Got me a mini me!! Unbelievably cool and an honor to be part of the @barbie and @mattel family that continues to inspire the next generation. Lil Bron coming to a store near you!!!” he wrote.
The Lebron James doll will be available beginning April 14 at Mattel Creations' website for $75 or around P4,200.
