MANILA, Philippines — Aboitiz-backed Advent Upgrade Solar Inc. (AUSI) has secured a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) to energize GH Mall, a shopping center within the Greenhills complex in San Juan.

AUSI, a joint venture between Aboitiz Power Distributed Renewables Inc. and Upgrade Energy Philippines, has partnered with Ortigas Land Corp. to install a 1,587.20-kilowatt-peak solar facility under the PPA.

“At Ortigas Land, our trajectory reflects a commitment to progress that goes beyond development. We do this by creating places that remain meaningful over time,” Ortigas Land VP and Ortigas Malls head Renee Bacani said.

By integrating clean power into its flagship mall, Ortigas Land strives to enhance customer experience while advancing its sustainability agenda.

“It ensures that we continue to create an environment where businesses can thrive and where the stories of families within the Ortigas community can grow and unfold for generations to come,” Bacani said.

For AUSI, the long-term deal is expected to support the sustainable growth of GH Mall by ensuring reliable and cost-efficient power.

“We are proud to be a partner in environmental stewardship for Ortigas Land as they continue to build great places for life,” AUSI chairperson and Upgrade Energy president and CEO Ruth Yu-Owen said.

“Through this 20-year collaboration, AUSI will deliver a solar solution that not only supports the operational goals of GH Mall but also enhances the everyday experiences of Filipino families and mall-goers who have made these spaces part of their own life stories,” she added.

AUSI is mainly engaged in the development and operation of distributed solar solutions tailored to large commercial and industrial customers. It also offers sustainable and efficient energy solutions to meet the power needs of businesses.
