ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — A member of the Abu Sayyaf who is wanted for kidnapping and illegal drug offenses surrendered to the police before Christmas Eve in Panamao town in Sulu.

Police said Abu Jihad, a native of Patikul town, yielded to the Police Regional Intelligence Division 9.

Jihad has a standing arrest warrant for kidnapping with illegal detention in 2020.
