Alas Pilipinas eyes strong finish after Asian Games medal bid ends

MANILA, Philippines — Team captain Jia De Guzman and Angel Canino remain determined to help Alas Pilipinas women to finish strong in the Asian Games 2026 volleyball tournament despite bombing out of medal contention. The Philippines was eliminated from the quarterfinal race after a 29-27, 24-26, 23-25, 19-25  loss to Kazakhstan on Thursday at Okazaki
