CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan, Philippines — A third suspect in the murder of a member of the provincial board of Bulacan and his driver were arrested in Kawit, Cavite on Friday.
The suspect, whose name was withheld, was collared based on a warrant issued by the Malolos Regional Trial Court Branch 11 for two counts of murder.
No bail was recommended for the suspect’s temporary liberty.
Four men were tagged in the ambush of Bulacan board member Ramil Capistrano and his driver in Malolos in October 2024, according to Maj. Mark Anthony Tiongson, officer-in-charge of the Bulacan police intelligence unit.
Last year, an alias Lupin was arrested in Navotas, while another, who is a former policeman, was nabbed in January this year in Cavite.
With the arrest of the third suspect, probers said only one assailant remains at large.
