MANILA, Philippines — "Wicked" co-stars Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater have ended their relationship after almost three years together, according to multiple reports.

The two artists were first linked in July 2023 together during production of the two-part musical film, around the time Ariana was processing her divorce to real estate agent Dalton Gomez.

Slater at the time was coming off the separation with his high school sweetheart Lilly Jay. The two reportedly did not begin dating until Slater's separation was made official.

In both "Wicked" movies, Ariana portrayed Glinda — receiving an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress — while Slater played Boq, the Munchkin who becomes the Tin Man.

Sources told several entertainment outlets that the celebrity couple quietly called off their relationship earlier this year.

"It's amicable, they gave lots of time and careful consideration and decided to go their separate ways," said a source to People magazine. "They are still friends and very supportive of one another."

A separate source shared that Ariana is "doing great" as she focuses on her ongoing "Eternal Sunshine" tour and the upcoming release of her eighth album "Petal" next month.

"She seemed very happy. It's all been very positive vibes. Being able to reconnect with fans after so many years made her very excited," the latter source said.

Meanwhile, a source for Page Six said the decision to break up was not a decision both parties took lightly. They "realized they were better off friends than in a committed relationship."

Different sources told another outlet, TMZ, that neither Ethan nor the split was the inspiration for "Petal."

Other than the "Wicked" films, Ethan is best known for his Tony-nominated titular performance in "Spongebob Squarepants" and playing Thomas Godolkin in "Gen V," a character he will reprise in "Vought Rising."
