COTABATO CITY — Army officials and medics together inaugurated on Friday, May 15, the newly-renovated hospital of the Army’s 10th Infantry Division, now open to the admission of sick soldiers from its units based in different areas in the adjoining Regions 10 and 11.
Radio reports on Saturday, May 16, stated that the 10th Station Hospital at the Army's Camp Gen. Manuel Yan, Sr. in Mawab, Davao de Oro now has a newly-constructed large emergency room where military doctors can first treat patients with urgent medical needs before they are admitted to the wards.
The hospital at the 10th ID’s headquarters had earlier received a Likha Streamer Award from the office of the Philippine Army’s commander, Lt. Gen. Antonio Nafarrete, in recognition of its efficient medical services to soldiers and their dependents.
10th ID commander, Major Gen. Alvin Luzon, led the inaugural blessing of the newly renovated 10th Station Hospital last Friday.
In a message during the event, Luzon expressed appreciation for what he described as the physicians' and medical service teams' “serious commitment” to serving patients brought in for treatment.
The inauguration of the improved 10th Station Hospital was attended by officials from different offices at the 10th ID’s headquarters.
