MANILA, Philippines — The crowd estimate for Traslacion 2026 reached around 210,000 people on the morning of Friday, January 9.
In a Facebook post, the Manila Public Information Office said that the carriage containing the Black Nazarene is plying Ayala Boulevard, corner San Marcelino Street, and is currently headed toward Ayala Bridge.
“Ayon sa ulat at crowd estimate gamit ang drone, umabot na sa mahigit 210,000 ang bilang ng mga debotong lumahok sa Traslacion,” the Manila Public Information Office said, citing data from the city’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.
(According to reports and drone-based crowd estimates, the number of devotees participating in the Traslacion has reached 210,000).
Despite the high volume of people on Friday morning, this number is expected to increase as the day goes on.
The Traslacion has historically drawn millions of devotees.
In 2025, the total number of devotees who participated in the Feast of the Black Nazarene reached 8.1 million, one of the highest figures recorded since the pandemic.
