At ‘near super typhoon’ category, Obet to enter PAR Monday afternoon

MANILA, Philippines — Typhoon Saudel (local name: Obet) is now in the “near Super Typhoon” category as it is set to enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) this Monday afternoon, according to state meteorologists.  As of 11:00 a.m., the typhoon was located 1,480 kilometers east northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon, packing 175 kilometers per hour
