MANILA, Philippines — Comedian and television personality Ate Gay revealed that doctors have detected a new lump on his neck, prompting him to undergo further medical evaluation.
In his Facebook account, Ate Gay shared the latest development regarding his health, saying that the newly discovered lump was found during a medical examination.
"Nakitaan ako ng bukol sa ibaba ng leeg ko, malapit sa balikat na agad nila inagapan,” he said.
Ate Gay said that he has been undergoing CyberKnife, a robotic radiation therapy system used to treat tumors.
“‘Di naman maapektuhan ang energy ko dahil dito. Pinapayagan nila ako mag-perform ng bonggang-bongga,” he said.
While expressing concern over the diagnosis, Ate Gay remained hopeful as he continued to follow his doctors' recommendations and undergo the necessary tests and treatment.
Recently, Ate Gay announced that his lumps on his nose and neck have disappeared.
The comedian was diagnosed with stage 4 mucoepidermoid carcinoma, which is said to be a “rare, aggressive cancer.”
