A scene from "Avatar: The Last Airbender"
Netflix
MANILA, Philippines — Streaming platform Netflix has revealed the official trailer for the second season of "Avatar: The Last Airbender," where the Gaang enter the Earth Kingdom.
The trailer begins with the titular character, played by Filipino-Canadian actor Gordon Cormier, fending up Fire Nation warriors while crowds break through city gates.
"The Earth Kingdom is going to fall," Elizabeth Yu's Azula declares to her father, the Fire Lord Ozai, played by Daniel Dae Kim.
Clips are interspersed of Aang, Katara (Kiawentiio), and Sokka (Ian Ousley) fighting Fire Nation soldiers in the forest as Aang uses waterbending skills, with Dallas Liu's Zuko looking behind sailing away on a ship.
Aang presses that the Fire Nation is just within the perimeter but only receives the iconic blank response, "There's no war in Ba Sing Se."
A brief glimpse of the Blue Spirit is shown ahead of Aang, imploring the blind Toph Beifong (newcomer Miya Cech) that the Fire Nation is continuing to wage war around the Earth Kingdom and needs Toph's help to learn earthbending — skills of which she teases.
Azula taunts her brother Zuko over the fact that Aang is just a child, and the trailer picks up with more fights around the Earth Kingdom and its capital.
A highlight of the video is the fight between Aang and Azula in the depths of Ba Sing Se where the former jeers further, "We've already won. The question is, how much are you willing to lose?"
More clips are teased until the sky bison Appa lets out a huge roar before the title card, and the trailer ends with confirmation of the June 25 premiere date. — Video from Netflix Philippines' YouTube channel
