Ayala extends FTSE4Good Index Series inclusion for 12th straight year

MANILA, Philippines — Ayala Corp., the country’s oldest conglomerate, continues to cement its position as a leader in environmental, social and governance (ESG), maintaining its spot in the FTSE4Good Index Series for the 12th consecutive year.

The FTSE4Good Index inclusion reinforces the Ayala Group’s standing in a global sustainability benchmark followed by investors and other stakeholders.

Its core businesses, ACEN, Ayala Land, Bank of the Philippine Islands and Globe, also remain constituents after the June 2026 review.

“Our continued inclusion in the FTSE4Good Index Series affirms our belief that one does well by doing good. Our mantra must always be building businesses that support communities and enhance lives,” Ayala president and CEO Cezar Consing said.

The FTSE4Good Index Series, created by the global index and data provider FTSE Russell, is designed to measure the performance of companies demonstrating strong ESG practices.

The FTSE4Good indexes are used by a wide variety of market participants to create and assess responsible investment funds and other products.

Businesses included in the FTSE4Good Index Series meet a variety of ESG criteria, with evaluations based on performance in areas such as corporate governance, health and safety, anti-corruption and climate change.

Aside from Ayala, Ayala Land and BPI have also been included in the FTSE4Good Index Series since 2015.

Globe, for its part, has been included since 2016, while ACEN has been in the list since 2023.

Ayala chief social infrastructure officer Paolo Borromeo said the continued listing is relevant because it links Ayala’s sustainability work to market-recognized standards.

He said the continued inclusion in FTSE4Good gives investors and partners a common reference point for how we put sustainability into practice.

“As we align our work in health, education, community development and sustainability under social infrastructure, benchmarks such as this help reinforce our belief in the elements that are needed to deliver progress that is measurable and lasting,” Borromeo said.
