MANILA, Philippines — Content creator Bea Borres is looking after her infant daughter Victoria Hope not with the child's father, Meray Yamada, but the latter's mother.

Borres was the guest on the May 8, 2026 episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" which served as a Mother's Day special ahead of May's second Sunday.

A majority of the episode revolved around Borres laying out her pregnancy experience, including how she and Yamada got together as well as how they broke up while carrying their child.

Boy asked Borres if she was co-parenting with Yamada, whom the content creator humorously referred to as her "baby daddy," and Borres answered Yamada's mother Imelda "Mhel" Pechera was co-parenting with her.

"Wala akong masabi kay Tita. Tita, if you're watching, napakabait mo... pero 'yung anak mo talaga..." Borres quipped.

The content creator explained she tried to make things work with Yamada, but the recollections of the latter being absent while Borres was expecting just flowed back.

"Siguro nage-expect pa rin ako na he would try kasi nakalabas na yung daughter namin, pero wala talaga," Borres continued. "One thing I learned from men is if they really wanted to, they would."

Borres acknowledged she had her own shortcomings, latter adding she doesn't see herself becoming friends again with Yamada.

"He wasn't there when I was going through the hardest and most vulnerable moment of my life, so bakit ko siya papayagan maging parte ng kasayahan ko ngayon? I'm just choosing myself, the way he chose himself," she pointed out.

The episode ended with the titular "Fast Talk" segment after Borres prayed her daughter grows up God-fearing, kind, grounded, healthy, and successful in life, and for herself the ability to heal. — Video from GMA Network's YouTube channel
