MANILA, Philippines — Former presidential aide and incumbent Sen. Bong Go continues to dominate the senatorial race, leading the latest nationwide survey by Arkipelago Analytics released Tuesday, May 6.
The poll, conducted from April 26 to May 1, showed Go garnering 63% voter preference, placing him ahead of broadcaster Erwin Tulfo with 55% and former Philippine National Police chief Sen. Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa with 47%.
Tied in fourth place are media personalities Ben Tulfo and former Senate President Tito Sotto, both receiving 42% support. Sen. Pia Cayetano ranks sixth with 41%, followed closely by Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar at seventh with 40.5%.
Villar, a second-term lawmaker, is among the top-performing first-time senatorial hopefuls in the survey.
Completing the top 10 are Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. (39%), Sen. Lito Lapid (38.7%) and television host Willie Revillame (38%).
Rodante Marcoleta placed 11th with 34%, followed by former Sen. Bam Aquino (33.5%) and Sen. Imee Marcos (33%). Former Makati Mayor Abby Binay and former Sen. Ping Lacson are tied at 14th to 17th place with 32% each.
A total of 1,400 registered voters participated in the face-to-face survey, which used proportional stratified random sampling to ensure demographic representation. The poll has a ±3% margin of error and a 97% confidence level.
Unlike traditional rankings based purely on popularity, Arkipelago Analytics applied a hybrid weighting method, combining popularity (70%) and voter conversion efficiency (30%). The firm said this methodology provides deeper insights into candidates’ ability to convert awareness into actual votes.
