NARRATING children's stories with a twist, robotics engineer and sculptor Sven Wilbur Lim has turned discarded book pages into characters or scenes from the story in his exhibit titled "Living Pages" at the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) Gallery until Feb. 28, 2025.
Lim interprets several known narratives such as Cinderella, Snow White and Alice in Wonderland, adding his personal touch on the popular fairytale characters and stories.
His works also represents an invitation to explore these childhood favorites with a new perspective.
Each piece showcases Lim's unique form of artistry as well as the unique trip to memory the creator takes his audience into, reminding one of the joy through nostalgia.
"Living Pages" opened on Feb. 3 and displayed at the NCCA Gallery, Monday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
