MANILA, Philippines — Award-winning Filipino-American singer Bruno Mars is at last gearing up for his first solo album in a decade.
The artist out of nowhere posted on his X account "My album is done," immediately drawing attention from fans about his upcoming fourth solo release.
Bruno has not released a solo album since 2016's "24K Magic," the Album of the Year Grammy winner which featured hit singles like "That's What I Like," "Versace on the Floor," "Chunky," "Finesse" and the title track.
My album is done.
— Bruno Mars (@BrunoMars) January 5, 2026Since then Bruno has kept himself busy with collaborations, namely with Silk Sonic alongside Anderson .Paak, Lady Gaga, and Rose of Blackpink — the latter two resulting in two of the most popular songs from the last 18 months, "Die With A Smile" and "APT."
Select tour stops also brought Bruno back to the Philippines, performing two nights at the Philippine Arena last June 2023.
Silk Sonic's "Leave the Door Open" won four Grammys at the 2022 ceremony including Record of the Year and Song of the Year, and last year "Die With A Smile" won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance earning Bruno his 16th trophy.
Bruno's Grammy nomination count is up to 36 now because of three nods received by "APT." in the upcoming 2025 edition — again Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
