MANILA, Philippines — Korean singer Jungkook of the boy band BTS has been named the newest global ambassador for Chanel under the French fashion house's Fragrance & Beauty line.

Thomas du Pré de Saint Maur, the brand's Head of Global Creative Resources for Fragrances & Beauty, shared in a statement how delighted they were to have Jungkook on board.

"I have long admired his incredible talent, his music career, and his distinctive commitment to self-expression, not to mention his bold creative choices. He perfectly embodies the essence of our House. He is an inspiration for the new generation, bringing passion and creativity wherever he goes," he said, expressing excitement for the collaboration.

Jungkook echoed the enthusiasm as he called Chanel a "pioneering House that cherishes its timeless heritage while constantly reinventing itself with modernity."

"As an artist, I try to stay true to my own style while embracing new challenges, so this partnership with CHANEL Fragrance & Beauty is especially meaningful to me," Jungkook also said.

The artist was previously tapped as a global ambassador for Calvin Klein two years ago before he enlisted in Korea's mandatory military service.

He was discharged earlier this year along with the remaining members of BTS who also enlisted, paving the way for the group's official comeback in March 2026.
