Six of the seven members of the global group BTS have been discharged from the military, as Jimin and Jungkook completed their mandatory service on Wednesday, June 11.
According to an article by Soompi, Jimin and Jungkook served at the 5th Infantry Division Artillery Brigade during their military enlistment. The two members enlisted in December 2023.
After being discharged, Jimin and Jungkook addressed the press and also went on a short livestream on Weverse to greet their fans.
Jimin and Jungkook's military discharge came a day after RM and V's on Tuesday, June 10. They join Jin and J-hope, who have also completed their military service.
Meanwhile, Suga is also set to complete his mandatory service this June.
The group's record label, BigHit Music, on June 7 announced the military discharge of RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.
“We are excited to bring you the news of RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook's upcoming military discharge. RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook are close to completing his active service in the army and will soon be discharged,” a part of the Weverse notice read.
BTS is celebrating the 12th anniversary of their debut on June 13, which is known as “BTS Festa.”
