Cameron Clark makes instant impact for Converge in PBA return

MANILA, Philippines—Cameron Clark may be Converge’s third import of the  2026 PBA Governors’ Cup, but the FiberXers are hoping he’s the one who finally sticks.

After Jalen Hudson and Jamaal Franklin, Converge turned to Clark, who made an immediate impact in his return to the league as the FiberXers routed Terrafirma, 120-103, at Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo on Tuesday.

“We really saw our import’s participation, especially when Terrafirma was making its runs. His contribution is big,” Converge coach Delta Pineda said.

Clark finished with 22 points, five rebounds, three steals and two blocks while shooting a blistering 60 percent from the field, giving the FiberXers a steady presence on both ends of the floor.

This is his third time playing in the PBA, having suited up for the NLEX Road Warriors and the San Miguel Beermen.

Calvin Abueva, who finished with a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds, credited Clark’s defense for helping the FiberXers secure the win that ended their four-game skid.

“His defense gave us the win. We share the ball as well and we don’t just stick to shooting. We do our plays with our chemistry, which we’re building,” he said in Filipino.

With Clark’s arrival, Converge got back on the winning track and improved to a 4-4 record in Group A.
