TRECE MARTIRES CITY — With a total of 2,447,362 registered voters, Cavite is the second vote-rich province, next to Cebu province that has 3,407,780 registered voters.

Here, the electorate will choose a governor, vice governor, 16 board members, eight congressional representatives, as well as mayors, vice mayors and councilors for eight cities and 15 municipalities.

According to Cavite Provincial Election Supervisor (PES) Mico Morales-Castro, everything is ready for the elections, from election materials to automated counting machines (ACMs) to manpower, and polling precincts.

She added the list of voters are already posted in strategic areas, while PNP personnel, together with augmentation teams from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP) and Bureau of Jail Management and Pe-nology (BJMP) personnel for persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) are already in their assigned areas to ensure a smooth, peaceful and orderly elections.

"Senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWD) and pregnant women are advised to vote early during the window hour allotted for them from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. so as not to be overwhelmed by the volume of voters during the voting hour of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.," said Morales-Castro in an in-terview.

Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia is scheduled to visit Silang Elementary School at 5 a.m. to monitor the voting during the window hour for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and pregnant women, after which he will proceed to Banaba Cerca Elementary School where he will cast his vote.

At the same time, the Comelec head will visit the polling places in Buna Cerca, Indang, and Tagaytay City College in Tagaytay before pro-ceeding to Bilibid in Muntinlupa for PDL voting.

Four senatorial candidates who are residents of this province, namely reelectionist Sen. Francis Tolentino of Tagaytay City, reelectionist Sen. Bong Revilla of Bacoor City, Ping Lacson of Imus and Francis Pangilinan of Silang are also expected to cast their votes here.

DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla will vote at Toclong Elementary School in Imus, while Justice Secretary Boying Remullla is set to cast his vote with his sons, reelectionist Rep. Ping Remulla and gubernatorial candidate Abeng Remulla in Tambong Malaki, Indang town.

Meanwhile, the provincial board, led by Vice Gov. Shernan Jaro, has passed Provincial Ordinance 0481-2025 authored by Ram Revilla (chairman of the peace and order and safety committee), imposing curfew from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. from May 10 to May 12, 2025. Also in effect is Comelec Order 10999 prohibiting selling, buying, drinking and offering liquor and other intoxicating drinks from May 11 to 12 midnight of May 12, 2025.
