Cebu BPO execs indicted for illegal investment solicitation

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Justice has indicted two executives of Cebu-based Fergus Inc., which is registered as a business process outsourcing (BPO) firm, for illegally soliciting investments from the public. This comes after the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed a complaint, prompted by reports from Australian clients who had claimed they were defrauded.
