Just for comic relief, let me share my crazy thoughts about the hottest showbiz news.
Here are my “Dollyisms” on the “buzz du jour”:
Team Incognto vs Team Senior High at the ABS-CBN Ball #BrighterTogether:
It ought to be called ABS-CBN BRAWL #FightersTogether instead.
Childhood crush of Kathryn Bernardo, Ken Hizon unearthed:
“KEN” he stand the public scrutiny? Or will Mr. Crush get crashed?
Political rival of Vilma Santos calls her “Laos”:
Ate Vi is in the Hall of Fame. Her rival belongs to the Hall of Shame.
Ely Buendia says guitarist to step back from “Eraserheads” project after sexual harassment allegations: He got “Erased” because of his “HEAD down there.”
Cesar spends quality time with ex and their son
BFF Buboy (Cesar Montano) spent quality time with his ex, Sandra Seifert and their nine-year-old love child, Coco. They had lunch at Café Med in Rockwell. Coco is short for Corinth Ian. Their cute son lives up to the book in the New Testament from which his name was derived. Coco knows Bible verses by heart and can recite them verbatim.
“Kung may Name that Bible verse contest, Coco will win hands down,” Buboy beamed.
Just like his mom, Coco is a vegan. BFF’s girlfriend (and mom of his kids, Samuel, Liam and Kristen), my fab Mareng Kat is cool about Buboy’s meet-up with Sandra and Coco. She deserves a “Best Supporting GF” award.
When Cesar turned 60, all his nine kids were present (though he missed his son, Angelo who passed away). It was Sandra who made the ‘60s outfits of Kat and Buboy’s kiddos for his 1960-themed birthday bash. At 62, it’s his kids who keep BFF young at heart. All the award-winning portrayals of Cesar pale in comparison to how he plays his role as a proud and doting dad.
Cool couple Kim Molina and Jerald Napoles topbill Viva Films’ latest big-screen offering ‘ Un-Ex You,’ which is now showing in cinemas nationwide.
Why KimJe makes love look effortless
It was so much fun interviewing Kim Molina and Jerald Napoles, so work didn’t feel like work at all. It’s couples like them who make me want to believe in love all over again because they make it look so effortless.
Catch our animated chat on my DollywoodPH Channel. The cool couple topbills Viva Films’ “Un-Ex You” (now showing in cinemas). Super duper thanks to KimJe for gracing my vlog. Thank you more than burps and smiles can say to my friend, Alvin Fortuna, for letting us shoot at his cozy resto, Azadore (Scout Fernandez). Their dishes are too delish for words. Gracias to Moises Fernandez for making our interview possible.
Here’s a teaser of my vlog’s KimJe episode. For one solid laugh trip, check out our full interview on my YT channel, mga Ka-Doll Doll.
Kim: I only have one ex-bf. There was a time he asked for a b-day video greeting. Akala ko galing sa akin, yun pala kay Je nya gusto mag pa-greet. It turns out that he’s a fan of Je. Kaaliw na friends ang ex at ang fiancé ko.
Jerald: Ang ex-es ko per continent (laughs). I had a French and an American as girlfriends. Mabenta ako sa AFAM. When I’m in Boracay, tourists approach me and ask “How much is a banana boat ride?” I tell them in jest that I don’t have a boat but I have a banana.
Aside from being an author, Rosanna Hwang is also a film producer and the lady boss of Kapitana Media Entertainment.
‘The Lost Saints’: A tale of resilience, justice and selflessness
When I was at the book launch of my newfound friend, Rosanna Hwang, in Fully Booked BGC, it reignited my passion to write my own book someday soon. Aside from being an author, Rosanna is also a film producer and the lady boss of Kapitana Media Entertainment.
Rosanna’s book is called “The Lost Saints (TLS).” It delivers a powerful tale of resilience, justice and selflessness, set against the backdrop of Spanish-era Manila. It promises to be a thought-provoking read, and many are eager for the film adaptation, Isang Komedya sa Langit, set to premiere at select SM Cinemas on May 28. However, Hwang made it clear that the movie version differs from the book in key aspects. “TLS” captivates readers with its blend of historical fiction and spiritual reflection. The story follows three priests who mysteriously travel through time from 1872 to 2024, confronting the past and present in ways they never imagined. The film adaptation stars Jaime Fabregas, Edgar Allan Guzman and Gene Padilla as the time-traveling priests, alongside John Medina as the fourth priest left behind, with Carmi Martin and Aki Blanco also in the cast.
Grab a copy of “The Lost Saints” at Fully Booked BGC or order from Shopee. Take a break from social media this Semana Santa and let Hwang’s book nourish your soul.
