College of St. Benilde coach Charles Tiu.–MARLO CUETO/INQUIRER.net
MANILA, Philippines—Charles Tiu is set to coach his third team in as many tournaments in just a short period of time when the NCAA Season 102 tips off on September 13.
Tiu will be back to steering College of St. Benilde in the NCAA after coaching Strong Group Pilipinas in the recently concluded William Jones Cup in Taiwan and calling the shots for Phoenix in the PBA Governors’ Cup.

Tiu, however, doesn’t seem to mind dealing with the hectic schedule, especially with the help of his coaching staff. He can also solely focus on the Blazers’ NCAA campaign for now with the PBA currently on break until October.
“I have a great coaching staff to support me in my respective teams,” he told the Inquirer on Monday.
“It’s tiring, but I have a commitment to the school and to the players. We will try to continue the program and what we’ve been building.”

Tiu will pick up where he left off in the NCAA as he tries to guide the Blazers all the way to the top in Season 102 behind reigning MVP Allen Liwag.
Last year, Benilde finished with a 9-4 record in the elimination round but was eliminated by San Beda in the semifinals.
“[There’s] never really a break. Basketball goes on every day. [I’m] always excited to coach Benilde,” Tiu said.
