MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) yesterday warned the public about false information on scholarships and financial aid circulating on social media.
“Several unofficial Facebook accounts are misrepresenting CHED by disseminating false information about scholarships and financial assistance programs,” the CHED said.
“These fraudulent accounts illegally use CHED’s name and logo while promoting unauthorized application and registration links,” the agency added.
The CHED asked the public to immediately report to its office if they encounter such bogus sites and suspicious activities.
Official social media accounts of CHED are PhCHED.gov on Facebook and @chedphofficial on X. Its website is ched.gov.ph.
