MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Higher Education will build a P159.8-million, six-story dormitory to provide students in Zamboanga accommodation while they complete their studies, the CHED said.
In a statement, the CHED said the dormitory to be constructed at Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University would accommodate 600 students and provide them with safe and affordable housing.
CHED Chairperson Shirley Agrupis said that by easing the burden on housing and travel, the dormitory would enable students to focus on their studies while increasing the university’s capacity for inclusive education.
