MANILA, Philippines — Patthama Jitsawat of Chonburi was crowned the 13th Miss Grand Thailand winner at the close of glitzy rites at the MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand on Saturday, March 28.
She was crowned by outgoing queen Sarunrat “Gotchabelle” Puagpipat and reigning Miss Grand International from the Philippines, Emma Mary Tiglao.
Jitsawat was also proclaimed Best Seller, Brow It influencer, and 7th Street ambassador earlier in the evening.
Crowd favorite Miss Grand Buriram, who was chosen as brand ambassador by at least three corporate sponsors including Snail Light sunscreen, was named 1st runner-up.
The delegates from Phuket, Saraburi, and Sukhothai were declared 2nd runner up, 3rd runner up, and 4th runner-up, respectively. Saraburi qualified in both the semifinal and final rounds as the Boss’ Choice, chosen by MGI president and founder Nawat Itsaragrisil.
The remaining six from the Top 11 were all announced as 5th runners-up. These were the delegates from Trat (Miss Popular Vote), Phrae, Udon Thani, Khung Thep Maha Nakhon, Chacheongsao, and Trang.
The other special award recipients were Chiang Mai (Best in Swimsuit) and Nakhon Phonom (Best in National Costume).
The other lucky candidates who made it to the first cut, Top 20, were Khon Kaen, Lampang, Chumphon, Uttaradit, Nakhon Rachasima, Ranong, Songkhla, and Sakon Nakhon.
Hosted by Matthew Deane and telecast in the Thai language, the 13th Miss Grand Thailand was beamed to a global audience from the MGI Hall in Bangkok through the Grand TV channel on YouTube.
