CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — A Solidarity Pact Signing for the 2025 National and Local Election (NLE) and Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Parliamentary Election was held at the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3) Multi-Purpose Building in Camp Olivas here on Wednesday.

The event was attended by regional election director of Comelec Region 3 Temie Lambino, who was guest of honor and speaker, PRO-3 Command Group including all of the police provincial and city directors headed by PRO-3 Regional Director Jean Fajardo, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine Coast Guard, Land Transportation Office, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Department of Education, PRO-3 accredited nongovernment organizations and faith-based leaders.

"We have to join and unite in order to have successful elections," Lambino said in his speech.

"The Comelec (Commission on Elections), to all government agencies and civil society organizations involved, we have to plan because solidarity starts from planning to have honest, orderly, peaceful, accurate, with integrity and successful elections. This is the purpose of our pledge," added Lambino.

Fajardo gave assurances that the 12,000 PNP personnel of Central Luzon are committed to keeping them politically nonpartisan.

"With Atty. Lambino, I am confident that the upcoming elections in Central Luzon will be carried out in a peaceful, orderly and credible manner," Fajardo said.

The event symbolized the shared commitment of various government agencies to uphold the rule of law, reaffirming their commitment for fair and honest elections, prevent violence and election-related unrest, and create an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust among all involved parties.

The representatives from various government agencies and sectors of society pledge to strengthen collaborative efforts to uphold peace and safeguard the integrity of democracy during the 2025 NLE and BARMM Parliamentary Election.

Part of their pledge of commitment is to stand together, to commit in solidarity with fellow Filipinos, to ensure secure, accurate free and fair elections by promoting peace and order, upholding the rule of law, fostering unity and civic responsibility in protecting the right to vote of every Filipino, rejecting all forms of hate and misinformation that could undermine the unity and harmony of our nation.

They also reaffirmed their shared objective of a peaceful, just and democratic Philippines where every Filipino, regardless of creed and culture, is empowered to make each voice heard through the election process.

It is also a commitment to ensure that the 2025 elections shall be a reflection of democratic values and a testament to the strength and unity of the Filipino people.
