Hello po, need advice.
TL;DR: To improve my connection, advisable na ba na magpalit ako ng modem, from single-band to dual-band one?
FIBERX1500 since 2019, never upgraded so still using a single-band modem. Up until Dec. 2024, our average speed has always been over 100Mbps. Since Jan. 2025, average 50Mbps, max 80Mbps nalang.
Actually okay pa sakin e, since stable naman parin and video calls. Not until a week ago na unstable na sya, anlaki na ng download and upload speed difference. So ngayon, naisip ko na baka dapat mag upgrade na ako to a dual-band modem. Yun mga nabasa ko kasi e baka hindi na daw kaya ng modem ko yun 100Mbps+. Pero kaya naman nya last year...300Mbps+ pa minsan.
Contacted Support almost every day. Pag natatanggap ko yun email na "We are reaching out to ensure that everything is running smoothly on your end, ... " okay naman na yun connection. Pag naclose na yun ticket ko, unstable nanaman yun connection wtf.
Additional info:
- WIFI and LAN speed is about the same.
- All devices at home get the same speed.
- Automatic speed test result (1 hour, every 5 minutes)
