SET against the stunning backdrop of the Dead Sea, the internationally acclaimed Dead Sea Marathon attracts runners from Israel and around the world. Renowned for its unique location and breathtaking landscapes, it offers an unforgettable experience. The marathon features a range of courses: 5 km Fun Run, 10 km Race, Half Marathon (21.1 km), Full Marathon (42.4 km), and the 50 km ultra-marathon, Israel's championship for ultra-distance runners.

The highlight of the race is running across the gravel dikes over the turquoise-colored waters of the Dead Sea, with unique salt formations on either side. These dikes, open only once a year, create an incomparable experience for runners.

The marathon's flat and fast courses offer an excellent opportunity for personal bests. The event takes place in the Ein Bokek region, which boasts hotels, a shopping center, a beach and a new promenade, providing a well-rounded experience of adventure and relaxation.

The event's heart lies at the new promenade in Ein Bokek, where the race starts and finishes. The prize-giving complex includes an expo, sports kit distribution, a recovery area and family activities. Runners can also benefit from the therapeutic properties of the Dead Sea, with opportunities for post-race recovery in its buoyant waters or rejuvenating mud baths.

This marathon builds on the legacy of the Ein Gedi Race, which hosted runners for over 30 years.
