CEBU CITY — By day, he delivered meals. By night, he peddled something far more dangerous.
A food delivery rider of a ride-hailing app was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Labangon Police Station at 9:50 p.m. on Monday, March 31, along A. Lopez Street in Barangay Labangon.
The suspect, Leonardo Tabriga, 37, known by the alias Romel, was caught with five packs of suspected shabu weighing approximately 25 grams, with an estimated street value of P170,000.
Tabriga admitted that he turned to selling illegal drugs due to insufficient earnings from his job as a delivery rider.
The confiscated drugs have been submitted to the PNP Forensic Unit 7 for chemical analysis.
