MANILA, Philippines — BYD Group’s premium brand Denza is expanding into the country’s sports utility vehicle (SUV) segment through the launch of two electrified models.
In a statement, Denza Philippines said that the B5 and B8 SUV models are now available in the market, signaling the brand’s entry into the competitive vehicle segment.
The launch follows the showcase of both premium SUVs during the recently held Manila International Auto Show 2026.
“The introduction of the all-new Denza B5 and B8 is an important milestone for us in the Philippines. These vehicles allow us to connect with a wider range of customers – especially those looking for SUVs that offer not just functional benefits of a new energy vehicle, but the emotional benefits of owning one,” BYD and Denza Philippines country head Adam Hu said.
Through the launch of the new vehicles, Denza Philippines aims to strengthen its position in the local market.
The country is seeing a strong demand for new energy vehicles amid rising fuel prices.
Denza’s B5 is a midsize plug-in hybrid SUV equipped with advanced driver assistance features.
Meanwhile, the B8 is a full-size SUV, which comes in two variants and offers a more premium experience.
Both the B5 and B8 are supported by the Denza app, which enables users to monitor the vehicle’s status, charging and fuel levels and location, as well as access smart controls.
The B5 is priced at P3.498 million, while the B8 is available at P4.698 million for the dynamic variant and P5.098 million for the premium variant.
