DepEd-Western Visayas declares readiness for school opening

ILOILO CITY — The Department of Education (DepEd) in Western Visayas declared that all of its 2,841 public schools are fully prepared for the opening of School Year 2026–2027 on June 8, as the region transitions to the newly mandated three-term academic calendar. Hernani Escullar Jr., DepEd Region 6 public affairs and information officer, said
