MANILA, Philippines – Actor Derek Ramsay said he will cooperate and appear when he is called by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) when it conducts a probe over the trending supercar with alleged fake plate.
The actor was made aware of the Porsche 918 Spyder that went viral for allegedly bearing a fake license plate while traversing public roads.
The LTO has placed the supercar under “alarm status” as it ordered the Law Enforcement Service to impound the vehicle. The agency said in its earlier statement that there are no VIPS when it comes law enforcement and it does not tolerate the use of fake license plates or the evasion of mandatory obligations.
On his Instagram story on August 16, Ramsay stressed that he does not drive any cars with fake plates.
“I do not drive any cars with fake plates. All my vehicles have proper plates,” Ramsay wrote.
He appealed for the public to carefully and properly understand the agency’s statement. He has not received the show cause order but he is ready to cooperate and appear before the agency when it is handed to him.
“To the LTO, I apologize for what is going on. Driving with fake plates is wrong and should not be tolerated,” Ramsay ended.
