MANILA, Philippines — Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon met yesterday with Naga Mayor Leni Robredo to discuss the implementation of priority infrastructure projects in the city including sidewalks and bicycle lanes.
Dizon and Robredo inspected areas where flood mitigation efforts under the government’s “Oplan Kontra Baha” are being implemented.
The visit marked the second meeting between the two officials within a month.
On Feb. 21, Dizon and Robredo joined President Marcos in inspecting the city’s waterways and drainage system.
Dizon revisited the Mauca Bridge in Barangay Colacling in Lupi town where he earlier identified structural defects.
He said Marcos ordered the immediate rehabilitation of the bridge to ensure structural stability and safety of motorists and commuters.
