MANILA, Philippines — Improved earnings contributions from all subsidiaries boosted DMCI Holdings Inc.’s profit by 28 percent to P15 billion in the first nine months.
From January to September, the diversified engineering conglomerate of the Consunji family posted record-high nine-month contributions from nickel mining and both on-grid and off-grid power generation, higher real estate and construction income and a significant reduction in cement losses.
Consolidated net income in the third quarter expanded by 33 percent to P3.6 billion, supported by stronger contributions from power generation, nickel mining and real estate, alongside continued improvements in cement operations.
Semirara Mining and Power Corp. contributed P6.3 billion during the nine months, eight percent higher than last year’s P5.8 billion, as record on-grid power earnings more than offset modest coal results.
Higher spot electricity prices and improved plant performance enabled power contributions to surge by 51 percent to P4.8 billion, while lower shipments and challenging mine operating conditions drove coal contributions down by 46 percent to P1.5 billion.
DMCI Homes contributed P3.1 billion, up by 21 percent year-on-year, supported by lower revenue reversals from cancellations, a higher-value project mix and higher rental income, including contributions from rent-to-own units.
Associate Maynilad, which achieved record-high earnings, contributed P2.2 billion, down from P2.8 billion last year, following the reduction in the group’s effective ownership interest after the water distributor’s initial public offering in November 2025.
DMCI Mining registered a record-high contribution of P2 billion, a 180-percent surge year-on-year, on the back of higher production and shipment volumes following the commencement of operations at Berong Nickel Corp.’s Long Point mine.
This brought the firm’s total number of active mines to three, while firmer nickel prices further supported results.
DMCI Power likewise contributed an all-time high of P1.1 billion, up by 14 percent year-on-year, fueled by record energy sales, capacity expansions in Masbate and Antique and stronger wind generation.
Increased profit recognition from joint ventures, meanwhile, jacked up by 76 percent the contribution of D.M. Consunji Inc. to P329 million. Its construction order book stood at P41.5 billion as of September.
Concreat Holdings Philippines Inc. narrowed its attributable net loss by 75 percent to P402 million, driven by higher sales, improved operating efficiencies and cost management initiatives.
At the standalone level, the cement business generated P1.3 billion in core earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA), reversing the negative P31 million EBITDA in the same period last year, even with elevated fuel costs.
